Types of dry and wet concrete in building materials
One of the mistakes that occurs in relation to the definition of dry concrete and prefabricated structures is that in many sources they define the two in the same way and in fact they mean dry concrete as dried concrete.

What is dry concrete?

Dry concrete is a subset of dry mortar products. The raw materials of this type of concrete are mixed in the factory and then transported to the construction site in a dry form (silo, bunker, bag).

The three main ingredients of dry mortar

Cement

Aggregates

Chemical additives

Dry mortar products are measured and mixed at the factory and transported dry in bags or bulk to the construction site, where they are mixed with water in a certain proportion and become usable.

Dry mortars have various types. Mortar can be used in stone blocks, bricks and various types of blocks, the mortar after use hardens, resulting in a structure with hard and hard grains. Modern mortars are usually made from a mixture of sand and gravel, components that bind together such as cement or lime, and water. Mortar is also used for repair.

Three methods of using mortars
The first method involves transporting the various raw materials separately to the construction site, where they are traditionally combined and used.
The second method, called wet mortar, mortars are prepared in workshops by mixing the raw materials and these mortars are placed under the supervision of the quality control laboratory of the wet mortar manufacturer before being transported to the construction sites. This method is economical for use in high volumes and is usually used in the construction of building foundations, columns, and roofs.
The third method, known as dry mortar, is where the raw materials are monitored, measured, and mixed together in the factory and are subject to quality control and delivered dry in bags or bulk by filling a silo.

Types of ready-mix concrete (dry and wet) and the reason for their use
Ready-mix concrete can be classified into different types depending on its additives. There is a classification for ready-mix concrete types, which are divided into wet ready-mix concrete and dry ready-mix concrete according to environmental conditions. The main difference between these two types of concrete is the addition of water in their production process.
What is dry ready-mix concrete?
Concrete is known as a composite material that is produced from a combination of sandstone, cement, water, and chemical additives. The same definition can be applied to dry concrete, with the difference that water is not used in the composition of dry ready-mix concrete and water is added at the final site.

What is wet ready-mix concrete?
Ready-mix concrete is produced at the factory and delivered to the consumer in a ready-mixed form.

Ready-mix concrete, dry or ready-mixed concrete?

These two types of concrete are produced from the same raw materials; however, depending on the consumer’s order and environmental conditions, it is possible to make the concrete in a dry or wet form.

What is the difference between dry concrete and prefabricated structures?

One of the mistakes that occurs in relation to the definition of dry concrete and prefabricated structures is that in many sources they define the two in the same way and in fact they mean dry concrete as dried concrete. Prefabricated structures or dried concrete are handed over by some large companies to the ready-mix concrete production plant, and the plant, after producing that structure, provides it to the contractor in a completed form.
Ready-mixed concrete, or precast concrete, is used in very large projects such as water resources, electricity, highways, ports, bridges, airports, large prefabricated product factories, and commercial concrete. Although it requires a large volume of concrete, it must also be of good quality. However, ready-mixed concrete is available in different volumes, and in some companies, this product is even available in 50-kilogram bags, and a person can easily use them for home use. Another difference between ready-mixed concrete and precast concrete is that in precast structures, the concrete has already been completely made and is dried under certain conditions after being injected into the mold. This is while dry concrete is not yet completely made and can be called an incomplete product that requires water.
