What is a batching plant (central concrete station)?
A batching plant is a device that mixes and combines the ingredients of concrete. Once the concrete is prepared, it is transported to the desired location by a truck mixer and used at the concrete pouring site, which saves time and money. In some cases, a batching plant is used temporarily in a project, not as a permanent device.
In such cases, the installation location of the batching plant should be close to the concrete pouring site. The purpose of this work is to make optimal use of time and space so that the mixed concrete can be easily used and any delays in the construction process can be avoided.

How does a batching plant work?
Batching plants are built in sizes ranging from 0.5 to 7 cubic meters per batch. In new batching plants, the work is done automatically and separately, and a batching concrete machine can deliver its nominal batch every 5 to 7 minutes, meaning that a 1-meter batching plant can prepare between 60 and 70 cubic meters of concrete per hour. Each stage of concrete pouring is called a batch, and because this machine produces concrete in succession, it is called a batching plant.
In large projects such as dams and tunnels and cases that require high concreting, several batching plants are usually used simultaneously.
Each batching plant requires a mixer to mix materials, water, cement, and other ingredients, the size of which is appropriate for the project being built. In addition to the mixer, each batching plant has a material weighing feeder that is used to store materials and accurately weigh each of them. Using this system, we can produce strong concrete in accordance with the principles of construction.
Components of a batching plant:
Operator control room: Control of quantities and volumes given in this part is done by an operator.
Feeder or mixer: Items such as cement, sand, water are mixed together in this part.
Cement scale: Cement of different types is stored separately in these silos.
Cement silos: These silos where cement is stored and there are between one and five silos depending on the type and size of the concrete center station.
Sand scale: Measures the required amount of each item and sends it to the mixer.
Sand tanks: The sand required for separation is stored in this part.
Cement transfer screw: Transfers cement from silos to cement scale.
Water meter: Measures the volume of water required in each batch.
Water storage source: The water required for each batch enters the mixer after automatic measurement.
